Origin of PARADIGM

To SHOW “SIDE by SIDE”, to have an example for something

late 15th century: via late Latin from Greek paradeigma, from paradeiknunai ‘show side by side’, from para- ‘beside’ + deiknunai ‘to show’.

The idea of having to prove something to someone is almost simultaneous with the arising of the concept of paradigm in its initial form. Since we always need to prove something as the process itself of denominating things implies we need to also have a PARADIGM for the thing we denominate to exist. Since in its initial form the word was used mostly for facilitating the process of denominating something and only, later on, was used to describe the context in which a denomination is being made, we can easily assume that the word has extended its properties of showing something to describing a process in and of itself. It’s almost the same situation as with the word BEING which has become BEINGNESS over time and can function, philosophically as a SINE QUA NON, and has not only a proper meaning but also derivative meanings.

So, if paradigm was used to signify bringing together objects into a category, side by side, now it has become the process itself through which we bring any contexts of things(brought together by categories).

We can, ad limina, say that we can have a paradigm of all paradigms of thought but that would be also where the mind would stop.

Can we truly surpass our limitation in thinking in terms of categories, proximal gender, and specific difference or are we “doomed” to always form categories of the mind until those categories lose meaning?

In what logic is concerned, we cannot think in other parameters than logic, even if we think metaphorically, so the answer to the question above is “No”, we cannot transcend all our thinking algorithms to find something more efficient than “Logical Categories”. What is then evident is that we cannot think in absence of paradigms, even if we use them for the mere reason of exemplifying. However, there are some paradigms that aren’t as logical and positive as we want to have them and we can start distrusting a specific pattern of thinking and of reasoning If we can identify the Fallacy embedded in it.

In other words, we can identify a social construct, a popular saying, a negative belief system, and truly debunk it by purposefully showing its fallacy and logical inconsistency. For instance “Rich people must be evil somehow” is so easy to be proven obsolete by how inconsistent it is and lacking proper investigation in statistic terms.

But what about more insidious belief systems, more deeply embedded ones into our subconscious, those which are accompanied by attitudes, emotions, behaviors, complex language structures, and things which we cannot demonstrate one by one how obsolete they are. Like the complex social structures, the Psychological Complexes, and the Archetypes which function as a balancing opposite force each time Humanity tries to break free and think more freely? Can we find a resolution for each Hive Mind agenda and hidden Mind entities that alter our behaviors to serving ideas instead of our real needs? For what Archetypes are concerned, this could also be an archetype: the archetype of the ignorant, who does not see beyond the veil of illusions, which might be in place if we think about Humanity’s propensity to lack of Universal and Planetary awareness and the biblical examples which show man to be chased away because of its ignorance. It could be just an archetype playing us all for such a long time.

If we can properly discern our own emotions, language, thoughts, and behaviors from the Hive Mind and really embark into the journey of Self-Reconstruction, from beyond all fragmentation done with the purpose of maintaining the System’s equilibrium, we can start to ponder the idea of being free and thinking with our own minds, rather than being controlled by the paradigm we are in.

Paradigms are like entity beings, they are organized in nests that feed on our beliefs, attitudes, and actions. We are feeding them and sometimes they feed us. We can think in more free terms if we understand their mechanics and what is our real purpose in intellectual terms as well as in mystical terms, here on this Planet. Our minds have a reason for functioning this way and the energy and information exchanges which we are entrained in, with each other, lead us to function a certain way. Understanding the relationships that we have with other people, objects and Language itself can help us operate more consciously in the Spaces and Affects offered by the Informational structure that the Paradigms and Disciplines(Religion, Art, Science, Biology, etc.) have traced for us in our society. Seeing beyond what makes you see is such a liberating process that not only do we have to experience by the act of transcending but also we can begin to understand intellectually.

In the book “How to see Beyond Paradigms”, I am explaining more in-depth this concept and show in a simple and understandable way how we can begin to liberate ourselves from the constraints of our paradigms and choose for ourselves the Paradigm which suits us the most. This book tries to solve the contradiction between Mind and Spirit because more often than not, we experience certain moments of freedom in which the mind has trouble processing the actuality of things(and discerning potentiality from actuality is also a certain freedom which we must teach ourselves) and feeding the intellect the proper and accurate description of what is taking place during the act of Transcendence of Collective Mind is also important.

You can find out more Here and for sure more debates on this concept are starting to arise.
